Deal and play are both clockwise and the deal moves towards the left. Players get 9 cards in groups of 3.Starting from left of the dealer, every player in turn bids by declaring the number of points he thinks he can win. A total of 14 points can be won. Every bid has to be greater than the previous. Those who do not wish to bid can pass.
The player with highest bid becomes the ‘maker’ and declares a suit to call trump. First, every player discards the non-trump cards. After this, they get the number of cards needed to restore 6 cards.
Game play and Rules
First, the maker leads and then the winner of the trick. Being a member of All Fours family, Double Pedro makes trump always legal.The rules state that you can select playing a trump instead of following a suit. If you don’t choose to play trump, you have to follow suit and if you can’t, you can play any card.
